Services for Adults

Area Agencies on Aging (AAA)

Missouri has 10 Area Agencies on Aging that support aging adults who need services and programs to help them remain living in their communities. The AAA offers a wide range of services, including information and referrals to local resources, caregiver support, care management, benefits counseling, and nutritional programs like home-delivered meals.

Show-Me Home

Show-Me Home provides support services to eligible Missourians age 63 or older or adults who are physically disabled to transition from an institutional setting, such as a nursing home, to a community setting. The program's benefits include assistance with security deposits, moving expenses, and furniture purchases. To be eligible, an individual must have resided in a Medicaid-funded institution for at least 60 days.

Transportation Services

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) provides free rides for eligible Medicaid (MO HealthNet) participants to and from covered medical appointments.

MO Rides

MO Rides is a referral service that connects individuals in need of transportation assistance with available providers in their county.

Services for Children

Women, Infants & Children (WIC)

The Missouri WIC program is designed to provide supplemental food, health care referrals, and nutrition education to pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to age five.

First Steps

First Steps is an early intervention program for infants and toddlers, birth to age three, who have delayed development or diagnosed conditions that are associated with delayed development. The First Steps program is administered by the Missouri Department of Education and is designed to provide families the tools they need to help their child be successful.
